Sound Widget Pro Terms of Use

License and App Store terms

Sound Widget Pro is licensed, not sold. Unless a different license is presented in the App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies. Use is subject to that agreement and the App Store Usage Rules, including their permitted device and sharing arrangements. These Terms supplement, and do not replace, that license.

Purchases

Sound Widget Pro is offered as an upfront paid Mac App Store download. The purchase includes the app's features without a subscription or in-app purchases. The price, taxes and availability are displayed by the App Store at purchase. Apple manages payment, purchase history and refund requests under its applicable terms. Nothing here restricts mandatory refund or consumer rights.

Requirements

The app requires a compatible Mac running macOS 14 or later and audio devices recognized and available to macOS. Installation and purchases may require an Apple Account and internet access. Ordinary audio switching does not require a Bender Bureau account or an ongoing connection to a developer service. Background observation may require approval in macOS Login Items.

App functionality

Sound Widget Pro displays audio devices and changes the Mac's default input or output following your explicit actions. It does not record audio, connect disconnected Bluetooth devices, manage individual apps' independent audio routes or change the separate system-sounds output. Widget execution, redraw timing and background permissions are controlled by macOS. Device compatibility and route availability depend on the operating system and connected hardware.

Updates and availability

Bender Bureau OÜ may update or change the app when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, compatibility, legal or operational reasons. Any changes remain subject to the purchase terms and mandatory consumer rights. Availability of Apple services and future operating-system compatibility cannot be guaranteed.

Acceptable use

Use the app lawfully and respect third-party rights. Do not bypass security or authorization controls, interfere with the app or related systems, or redistribute, sublicense, rent or sell the app except as permitted by the applicable license or law. Restrictions on reverse engineering do not apply where applicable law expressly permits it.

Third-party systems

The app depends on macOS audio services, WidgetKit, Service Management, StoreKit and the App Store. These systems and connected hardware are not controlled by Bender Bureau OÜ. Sound Widget Pro is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple.

Intellectual property

The app's software, interface, branding and original assets are owned by Bender Bureau OÜ or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Apple trademarks and third-party names and assets remain the property of their respective owners.

Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided as is and as available, without a guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation or compatibility with every audio device. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Bender Bureau OÜ will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, loss of data or business interruption arising from use of the app. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. Your license may terminate as provided in the applicable App Store license if you breach its terms. Deleting the app may leave local settings or backups; contact support for help removing them. Provisions intended to survive termination remain in effect.

Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated to reflect changes to the app, applicable law or store requirements. The effective date will be updated when changes are published. Changes do not remove rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

Governing law

These supplementary Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, subject to mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rights in your country of residence. The applicable Apple license governs matters within its scope.
