Sound Widget Pro Privacy Policy
Sound Widget Pro is provided by Bender Bureau OÜ. The app works locally on your Mac, requires no account, and does not automatically collect or send personal data to Bender Bureau OÜ. It contains no advertising, analytics or third-party tracking.
Audio device information
Sound Widget Pro reads audio device names, identifiers, capabilities, availability and default-route status to display and select devices. It does not record, listen to, store or transmit audio content. Selecting a microphone as the default input does not activate recording.
Data stored on your Mac
Device identifiers, custom names, visibility, favorites, ordering, appearance and related settings are stored locally in a macOS App Group container shared by the app, its widgets and its background observer. Local diagnostics can include device names and identifiers, route status, recent action results, timestamps, errors and app build information. These records are not automatically transmitted to Bender Bureau OÜ.
Background observation
The app automatically registers a windowless background observer to watch device and route changes and request widget updates. It does not record audio, poll for changes or change audio routes. macOS controls permission for background operation through Login Items.
Apple and purchases
Apple handles purchases through the Mac App Store. The optional Purchase information button uses Apple's StoreKit service to check purchase information. Bender Bureau OÜ does not receive payment-card details through the app. Apple processes information under its own privacy policy and account terms. Audio controls remain available if a purchase check fails.
Network activity and external links
The app has no developer-operated backend, advertising, tracking or third-party analytics. Device switching and preferences work locally. Optional purchase verification may contact Apple. Support and legal links open external websites or an email application, whose processing practices are separate from those of the app.
Support you choose to request
If you contact us by email, we receive the message and information you choose to provide and use them to respond to your request. Local diagnostics may contain device names and identifiers; review them before sharing. You can contact us about access to or deletion of correspondence, subject to applicable retention obligations.
Control and deletion
Preferences and diagnostic files remain locally until removed or replaced. Resetting unreadable settings preserves a local recovery copy. Deleting the app may leave macOS containers and backups on your Mac. Contact support for help removing local data. Bender Bureau OÜ cannot remotely access or delete files on your Mac.
Scope and changes
This policy applies specifically to Sound Widget Pro for macOS. Policies for the studio website and other products describe those services separately. If the app's data practices change, this page will be updated with a new effective date.
