Terms of Use

Franker
Effective date: August 24, 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Franker browser extension. By installing or using Franker, you agree to them.

Franker is provided by Bender Bureau OÜ, an Estonian company with registry code 16266585.

The service and its requirements

Franker translates text that you select on a webpage and inserts the result into that page. It requires a compatible desktop version of Google Chrome, currently Chrome 138 or later, and a language pair supported by Chrome’s on-device Translator API. Chrome may need to download language support before first use.

License and acceptable use

We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Franker in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.

  • Do not reverse engineer, redistribute, sell, or sublicense the Extension except where applicable law expressly permits it.
  • Do not use Franker to violate rights, bypass access controls, or process content unlawfully.
  • Do not interfere with the Extension, Chrome services, or other users’ devices.

Availability and third-party technology

Translation quality, supported languages, model downloads, and API availability are controlled by Chrome and may vary by version, device, administrator policy, or language pair. Franker may not work on browser-internal pages, the Chrome Web Store, restricted pages, or pages that block extension access. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features when needed.

Ownership, warranty, and liability

Franker, its design, code, and branding belong to Bender Bureau OÜ or its licensors. Website content and translated source material remain subject to their owners’ rights.

Franker is provided “as is” and “as available.” Translations can be incomplete or inaccurate and should not be relied on for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other high-stakes decisions. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Bender Bureau disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-data damages arising from use of Franker.

Changes, termination, and governing law

We may update these Terms and will revise the effective date for material changes. You may stop using Franker at any time by uninstalling it; we may terminate the license for a material breach. These Terms are governed by Estonian law, without limiting mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
