Foil Privacy Policy
Foil is provided by Bender Bureau OÜ. Foil does not collect, transmit to Bender Bureau OÜ, sell, or share personal data. The app contains no advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking.
Data stored on your Mac
Foil stores app settings, window layouts, selected skins, cached artwork, and cached Apple Music library information locally on your Mac. This data supports the app's features and is not sent to Bender Bureau OÜ. It remains on your Mac until you reset the relevant data in Foil or remove Foil's application data.
Apple Music
Foil uses Apple's MusicKit and Apple Music services to authorize access, browse the Apple Music catalog and your library, and play media. Foil does not receive or store your Apple ID password. Data sent to Apple is limited to what is needed to provide these features and is governed by Apple's privacy policy and the terms associated with your Apple Music account.
Network activity
Foil connects to Apple services to provide Apple Music features and retrieve artwork. It also runs a local-only playback bridge on your Mac so the native interface can communicate with Apple's MusicKit playback runtime. Foil does not operate a developer analytics or tracking service.
Control and deletion
Use Account > Sign Out to disconnect Foil from Apple Music locally. You can revoke Foil's Apple Music permission in System Settings under Privacy & Security. Use Account > Reset collection and re-download to clear Foil's cached library collection. Because Bender Bureau OÜ does not collect or retain your data on its servers, there is no server-side personal data to request for deletion.
Changes
This policy may be updated if Foil's data practices change. A new effective date will be shown here when that happens.
